It was great for the Winning Moments team to attend Olympia Beauty earlier this week. We had a fabulous time meeting some wonderful people and some amazing brands. So here are some of our favourite brands at Olympia Beauty this year.
It was great chatting to Pauline, one of the founders of Dr PawPaw balm, about their amazing fragrance free balm. Dr Paw Paw balm provides relief for dry irritated skin, moisturises lips, nails and cuticles. Not only that but it soothes dry cracked skin on hands, heels and elbows and can also be used for adding finishing touches to hair and smoothing brows. If that’s not enough, it also helps with insect bites and minor abrasions! There are a wide range varieties to choose from – original, tinted peach, red and their first hair care product, It Does It All 7in1. You can check out the full range here.
Aviela Pure Shea Butter
We had a lovely chat with the fabulous team at Aviela, and their products and samples were fantastic. In particular was the African Black Soap, which is 100% organic and hand made, and smelt sensational! Aviela is all about making skin and hair care products using high concentration of unrefined Shea butter, blended with other natural oils. Shea butter is great for moisturising, smoothing skin and anti-ageing. Aviela always start each of their product formulations with unrefined Shea butter and select other oils to augment the moisturising, nourishing and softening properties of Shea butter. The results, as we can testify, are amazing products for your daily skin and hair care needs. Did I say we are in love with the African Black Soap? Check out the full range here.
Pure essential oils have long been known to have amazing healing properties. We met the lovely Valerie at Olympia Beauty who took us through Sanatio Naturalis’s amazing range of essential oils. All of their oils are free of synthetic colours and fragrances and smelt absolutely heavenly! We really loved the Rose and the Lavender, but the range available was incredible. In order to harness nature in this way, huge amounts of botanicals are needed – for example for the rose essential oil, 4,000 kg of rose petals are needed to obtain just 1 kg of rose essence!

Our account manager, Becci, is a huge fan of Dreamweave’s Lip Voltage and was excited to see the products at Olympia Beauty. She says; “I used to use Dreamweave’s lip plumping lip gloss ‘Lip Voltage’ back in 2014 – it was sold out for month’s at a time in the UK! I was interested to learn they have now upgraded the packaging, rather than mixing two products from separate tubes, they have combined the ‘gloss’ and the ‘voltage’ to a lip-gloss which has a clicker – releasing the voltage into the gloss depending on the amount of volume you would like.” You can find out more here.
Hollie, one of our account managers, was hugely impressed with the range of tanning products on show at Olympia Beauty. Her favourite was Marc Inbane’s Original Natural Tanning Spray. She said; “I tried this product at the show and after 3 days, I still have a nice even tan as if I applied it last night. Unlike most tanning sprays/lotions, I haven’t looked orange and it hasn’t left me looking blotchy as it slowly fades. I also appreciated not smelling like a biscuit tin for the rest of the day after the tan was applied!” You can find out more about this product here.
