Our lovely friends at MUA sent us an amazing bundle of make-up alongside a dose of inspiration to show you how easy it is, for a normal novice make-up lover like ourselves to re-create their amazing MUA Halloween make-up looks. We selected two of their looks to re-create on ourselves using souly MUA products.
The first look we tried was the ‘Ultimate Snapchat’ look created by the super talented, blogging genius, Sophie Hannah Richardson. Being totally new to the world of experimental make-up we knew we had to up our game, just in time for Halloween and what better way to do it then by reviewing some incredible products as well.
Sian decided to take the plunge into the realm of all things blue with a sprinkle of butterflies! Using all MUA products, this is her before, during and after photos.
“I was scared at first to be so bold and daring. Usually I stick to what I know, lots of nudes and pinks, however when I saw this look I just had to try it! The MUA products are flawless. Each product I used were full of coverage, all colours had great pigments and each product really did do exactly what they ‘said on the tin’. The lip lacquer’s were more like stains, which is amazing for any Halloween party, not having to constantly run to the bathroom to touch up. They are also super blend-able, I mixed the shades Ice and Splash together on my lips to give a really electric blue colour – which I loved. At first I thought the look would be so hard to re-create however it wasn’t at all, it’s crazy what a few good products and some inspiration can do!”
Our second look to trial was the amazing Mexican Sugar Skull. Everyone got excited over this look here at Winning Moments, however it was the lovely Kirsty that decided to give it ago. She used the following MUA products:
Elysium Shadows Palette, MUA Wet Look Eyeliner, MUA Luxe Eye Primer, Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer in Potent, MUA Volume Mascara and the Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder, you can buy all these products here.
We think Kirsty’s attempt at the Sugar Skull looks amazing, read her review of the products:
“I loved all the MUA products. I am a HUGE fan of the Highlighting Powder, the Volume Mascara and the Potent Lip lacquer (which took me back to my goth-inspired teenage years). The pigment on the eye shadow palette was amazing. The colours were intense and exactly what you’d expect. The look was fairly easy to re-create my only downside was the limited accessories I had, I wish there were endless amounts of jewels and sequins I could have used!”
Make-Up lovers can buy any of the products either Sian or Kirsty used from MUA website.
It would be great to see each of your interpretations of the looks, upload them to Instagram and be sure to tag #WMMUA!
